The building process

H&B Homes understands that buying a new home can seem like a daunting task. Our experienced team promises to work closely with you and your family to understand your desires and assist you in building your dream home. Our diverse team plays to their strengths, focusing on what they are best at so that as a whole we can better educate you about the building process and answer any questions you may have. To introduce you to this process, we have summarized the steps that we take with each new home we build:

Secure Financing

Many of the Homes we build are financed. H&B Homes recommends that you find a mortgage specialist and get pre-approved before beginning to build your home.

Locate Vacant Land

If you don’t have an existing piece of property, no problem! Our home consultants have access to an extensive list of vacant land opportunities throughout Western Canada. H&B Homes also partners with developers and municipalities on new developments and we have some exclusive opportunities for our homebuyers that are listed on the available lots page of our website.

Choosing Your Home

Our consultants will guide you through the process of building and customizing your home. To help you more clearly visualize your home and its customizability, we have a large selection of show homes at our office in Stony Plain, AB. Be sure to pop by and say hi!

Prepare Your Site For Delivery

Once you’ve selected your home and decided on your options, we will begin planning the delivery and site setup. During this phase, we will help you get permits and educate you on what services you need on your site prior to your home’s delivery.

New Home Delivery

H&B Homes will coordinate with you on the delivery of your new home once your services are hooked up. Additionally, our Care Team will complete a post-delivery inspection, homeowner orientation, and remedy any potential warranty items.

General Maintenance

Now that you’re a homeowner, there are some maintenance items that will need to be completed from time to time. Please take the time to read through your home owner’s manual and familiarize yourself with the seasonal maintenance items that need completed.
